 RESTORATIVE JUSTICE COURSEI
POLLSMOOR FEMALE CORRECTIONAL CENTRE

TO ALL PRAYER FRIENDS

Please pray with us for this course with our Female clients/inmates, which starts on Tuesday August 18th 2009 and finishes with the Family Day on SATURDAY August 29th (Debrief day with inmates is on Monday 31st August.)

We, at Hope Prison Ministry, would so value and sincerely appreciate your prayer cover during this time for:

For Jenny Clayton, who will be leading the course and doing most of the talks. This is a supremely demanding role. Please pray for wisdom, discernment, strength, courage, boldness and protection. That God will restore her strength on a daily basis.

For the Wardens – that there will be a consistency in attendance, i.e. the same wardens to attend each day.

For those present to come into a relationship with the Lord. For total revelation of who God really is. That any head knowledge would become heart knowledge.

For transparency from the inmates. For them to be open, sincere and honest in their response to the course.

For God's protection for Jenny Clayton and the facilitators - physically, spiritually and emotionally. Also particular protection over their minds and over their relationships. This course is very intense, emotionally draining, and very demanding. Often at the end of a day the facilitator doesn't know quite where to put, or how to process what they have heard as the inmates unburden themselves. Please pray for restorative sleep for all the RJ team.

For the preferred venue outside of the Female Centre, to be available for both weeks (and for future courses).

For the provision of, and catering for, lunch everyday for 40 people – Please pray for the two ladies who have kindly volunteered to do the catering for the course – this is a big task.

For urgent need of finances– it costs approximately R450 per person to do the course, including catering.

Thank you in advance for your faithful support in prayer.

Blessings,

Mim Haggie
