Disneyland Pre-school
The past year has seen many changes at Disneyland. The new building has been completed allowing the children to learn in a warm sunny room in winter, and be protected from the rain in summer. And, best of all, there are toilets and wash basins.
1st December was an exciting day in the lives of 45 tiny tots and their hard working teachers. For some it was their Graduation in preparation to go to Big School. Proud parents saw their children present a programme of short dramas which showcased what they had learnt during the year. Esther and her teachers maintain a high standard with the children. Halfway through a long programme each child received a hotdog and juice donated by Spar, and at the end, were rewarded as they received a Christmas shoe box filled with surprises. After that, the Graduation cake was cut and the long awaited feast began. A long day for the tiny tots who behaved and stayed awake throughout.
In 2008 some more building work will be done, improvements added, the playground equipment upgraded and Disneyland will become a Child Development Centre. All this has been possible through the generous partnership of people who would have been proud to have seen what was presented at the 2007 Graduation and Dedication of Disneyland.
Disneyland is a small seed of hope where the food of learning is eagerly consumed.
